Support the Band!

Fund Raising Programs

The Page High School Band Boosters have put together a number of fund raising programs to help generate funds to help grow this band. There are three in particular that through your participation (and anyone else you can get to help) will put money into your student's band account to be used to pay their band fees. These include:

These are all voluntary programs and your participation determines how much money goes into your account or to support the band directly. Feel free to contact the Chairperson of each activity for more information.

Sponsorship Donation Form

The Sponsorship Donation Form is a letter you can personally address to friends, family and neighbors requesting support for the Fred J. Page Marching Band via a sponsored donation.  You decide who to send it to and are responsible for mailing it to them.

There are multiple donation levels outlined in the letter ranging from a $1 donation per show (for $20) to a $20 donation per show (for $400).

If someone chooses to sponsor a donation in your name they will complete the bottom of the page and mail it along with a check to the address on the form.  I will post each donation to the sponsored student’s student account.

Sommet Center (SC)
As a not-for-profit organization, we have the opportunity to work the concession stands at the SC for just about every event that comes along. We are volunteers and work for Sportservice who in turn donates a certain guaranteed amount to the Booster Organization. This money (90%) goes into your student's account for each event you work. This has been a GREAT way for parents to turn their spare time into money for band fees. Here are the details.

  • You MUST attend a Sportservice training session to be able to work
  • Events are held throughout the week and weekends - hockey games, concerts, etc.
  • The pay guarantee is a minimum of $55 per event per person - Sometimes as high as $150 - 90% to your account &10% to the Band
  • Call time (arrival) is typically 4:30 pm and shifts run until approximately 11 pm

For more information, and current trailing dates, contact Norma Dunlap, phone 591-0934, email ndunlap@mtsu.edu

SCRIP CARDS
Shop normally and receive money in your student's band account. Getting Started!

Are you familiar with the gift cards that many retailers offer? These can be purchased through the band and Great Lakes Scrip Company. They are also known as "scrip."  This program allows you to purchase gift cards at face value. The Great Lakes Scrip company gives the band a percentage of return on all cards purchased. This amount is immediately returned to the Band and placed in your student's account. The percentages range from 3% up to as much as 25% with the typical retailer giving back on average of about 9%. You purchase the cards at full value. The Boosters place an order twice a month and in about 4 working days you have your cards. Cutoff dates for scrip orders are typically the first and fifteenth of each month. There are hundreds of retailers who participate in this program so if you want to check out the list please visit www.shopwithscrip.com  and click on the Retailers tab. This also is the website where you set up an account and place your order. After you have made your selections and printed your order, please submit it and a check to the scrip coordinator. All orders will be compiled and submitted on the next scheduled Scrip order date. It is simple!

This is a great way to shop where you would normally shop and get money put into your student's band account. Some of the retailers include:

Outback Steakhouse Circuit City Logan's Roadhouse
Wal-mart Mariott Hotels Best Buy
O'Charley's  Old Navy KFC
Chili's Restaurant  TGI Friday's Best Western Hotels
Pottery Barn American Eagle Subway
CompUSA  Dillards Bath and Body

and many, many more

Ask your friends to buy scrips through you and that discount also goes into your student's band account. For more information, contact LuAnn Fell via E-mail at jfell5611@aol.com

KROGER CARES CARDS

Do you shop at Kroger? Would you like 4% of what you spend at Kroger to go into your student's band account? It's easy. The Kroger Cares program lets you purchase a Kroger Card through the Page Band Boosters. Then every time you add money to the card 4% of what you put on your card comes back to the Band and into your account. It really is that simple. Kroger pays the 4% monthly when you add to your card, not when you spend the money.

You have to get the card through the Band ($5 for the card and it comes with $5 on it) and you have to keep the same card to keep getting the 4%. You can get cards for your friends and neighbors and every time they put money on their card, you get the 4% into your student's band account. You can add value to your card using a credit or debit card as well as cash or check.

This program has helped quite a few people pay their band fees. For more information, contact Donna Ryan via E-mail at dandjryan@msn.com.

Advertising/Sponsorships

This activity will target businesses and individuals for their support of the band program through the financial sponsorship of the band.  This will consist of advertising their name on our band T-shirt, a banner to be displayed at the concession stand and on our band truck at competitions and away football games as well as in our concert program.  The level of sponsorship will determine the level of name recognition.

Concession Stand

The band program is fortunate to be the organization selected to fund and operate the concession stand for all home football games and potentially other sports activities involving the football stadium.  This is an important portion of our revenue and requires a large number of band parents to be involved.  It is a great way to get to know the other parents and to become a part of this band program.

Summer Car Washes

During the summer there will be several car washes held at various locations around our community.  The students will organize and operate these car washes under the direction of the Booster organization.

Wine Tasting Event

An Evening of Wine and Music

This is a parent only event where we will be providing manpower for various aspects of the wine tasting and silent auction.  A large number of volunteers are always needed. Also, If you have items--goods or services--you'd like to donate to the silent auction, there will be an opportunity to do so and we welcome them.  The date for the year will be announced well in advance of the event.  Don’t miss it!

Dessert Café

Again this year, we will be offering a “dessert and beverage? for sale before band activities and at football games.  This can be a “pure profit? activity because the desserts will be provided/donated by band parents.

“Walk of Honor" Brick Project

We are offering personalized bricks to be on display on the campus of Page High School. Please join us in building this special place to honor students, alumni, athletes, teachers, club members, employees and sponsors.
Your order may be turned in any time during the year, however, we order from the brick company in the early summer.  For more information please contact: erickh@wcs.edu

Passalong Network: Buy Music to Support Music
Passalong Network has made an exciting opportunity available to the Page High Band. Passalong allows people to download music for a fee. The band gets a part of every transaction! Encourage all your family and friends to use this web address to access Passalong's service when they're shopping online for music. Remember: they must go through this web address for the Page Band to get the benefit of their purchases!

This opportunity is still in the works, and we'll have more information later on how to maximize the band's "cut" of income, so watch this space. In the mean time, visit the band's site on the Passalong Network and start buying music to support music!
